Prince William is a "proud" grandson.

The heir to the throne of England was in the middle of a video chat with caregivers and volunteers, when he spoke about the fact that his grandmother and grandfather, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, were vaccinated .

Aged respectively 94 and 99, they are obviously part of the population at risk and did not hesitate to receive the injection.

“My grandparents got the vaccine and I'm very proud of them, I'm glad they did.

It is very important that everyone gets vaccinated, ”said the Duke of Cambridge, who recently announced he was retiring to Norfolk with his family while the epidemic subsides in the British capital.

A big bravo

Two vaccines are currently administered to the British population, Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca.

On January 9, a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen and her husband had both been vaccinated at Windsor Castle, where they have resided since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

News that came as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had just announced new measures for national containment.

The country is indeed plagued by a more virulent variant of Covid-19.

“I want to say big thumbs up to everyone involved in the immunization program, because it looks very impressive, really.

I know it will make a huge difference for everyone ”, assured the son of Prince Charles and Lady Diana.
