Japan Post is calling for measures such as wrapping the container in three layers for the mailing of PCR test samples, which is increasing.

After the 1st of next month, if measures are not taken properly, we will refuse to accept it.

With regard to PCR tests to check for infection with the new coronavirus, an increasing number of people are mailing samples such as saliva collected from themselves to testing institutions.

In response to this, Japan Post is calling on users to take measures to prevent the virus from leaking during mailing.

Specifically,

▽ "inactivate" to prevent virus infection when putting the sample in the container,

▽ wrap the container containing the sample in three layers and put the box with "UN3373" on it. It is required to put it on the outside,

and

when sending it by ▽ Yu-Pack,

write

"Corona sample (inactivated)" in the content column of the label.

After the 1st of next month, we will refuse to accept if measures are not taken properly.

Hideo Murata, director of the Research and Public Relations Department of Japan Post, said at an online press conference, "I want you to understand this as a necessary measure to ensure the safety of users and employees."
