A pas de loup

by Isabelle Villain, published on January 14, 2021 by Éditions Taurnada.

Her favorite quote:

Tired of the "metro, work, sleep".

Tired of waking up every day at 7 am to the sound of France Inter morning.

Tired of taking an hour to cross all of Paris.

Need to breathe different air.

A phrase suddenly resounded in his ear "modern comfort is a sweet prison for which one locks himself up little by little".

Why this book?

  • Because the story is inspired by several real facts

    that give goosebumps.

This novel must have required hours of research and access to documents which must give some nightmares.

Isabelle Villain brings each of her characters to life and brings out a lot of emotions.

She introduces us into this story slowly, the well-being felt at the start evolves, and it is a horrific feeling that quickly fills us.

As I progressed through the narrative and the true nature of the characters revealed, I trembled at the outcome I anticipated.

  • Because the author creates an agonizing atmosphere

    with disconcerting ease.

His writing seems to run on paper and his precise descriptions quickly project images into our heads.

I had never read a novel with such a view on the subject, and I liked this originality.

Reading that I recommend, which will take you to the end point with relish.
