China News Service, Dehong, January 17th (Yin Yihu and Wu Zezhao) Recently, a photographer photographed the color ibis, a national secondary key protected wildlife, in a wetland on the outskirts of Yingjiang County, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The ibis was recorded for the second time in Yingjiang.

On January 27, 2020, nature and ecology photographer He Xuesheng recorded the activities of colorful ibis in Yingjiang for the first time in Dayingjiang River Basin.

The colored ibis was once asserted in the "Red Book of Endangered Animals in China" that it "has been extinct in China."

In recent years, with the gradual improvement of the ecological environment, the once "extinct" colored ibis has gradually reappeared in China.

The picture shows the colorful ibis taken this time.

The colored ibis taken this time is an adult bird. It keeps searching for food in the water, sometimes combing its feathers, and sometimes flying.

Its slender body, chestnut-purple feathers, shine with a green metallic luster under sunlight, and its luster changes colorfully with the movement of the colored ibis, and looks very healthy.

This time the colorful ibis appeared in Yingjiang and attracted many eco-photographers to come to shoot.

Yingjiang County is rich in natural resources, with 710 species of birds recorded, making it the county with the largest number of bird species in China.

According to continuous monitoring and observation, large migratory birds, such as gray cranes, black-necked cranes, minion cranes, black storks, prairie eagles, white-shouldered eagles, and white-tailed sea eagles, will stop or stay for winter in Yingjiang County.
