The Director of Communication and Community Service at the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Dr. Muhammad Salman Al Hammadi, affirmed the authority's keenness to participate in the Sheikh Zayed Festival since its inception in 2014, indicating that it is based on being a partner and contributor to the success of the festival from year to year. Al Hammadi said that the authority aims, through its participation in the festival, to highlight the development achieved by the agricultural sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with a number of activities in support of the agricultural sustainability strategy.

He explained that, through the "Agricultural Oasis" pavilion, at the festival, the authority offers a number of activities, including farmers' markets, through which local products such as vegetables, fruits and honey are displayed. There is also another pavilion in which local breeds of livestock are displayed.

Farmers' market

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, during its participation in the festival, was keen to establish a farmers' market, which allows farm owners to display and sell the products of their farms of vegetables and fruits, and two outlets were designated for beekeepers to display and sell local honey of high quality, as well as a corner to display the distinctive local strains of wealth Animals, while ensuring all precautionary measures to prevent "Covid-19".
