The storm Filomena has swept through Spain. An exceptionally extreme meteorological phenomenon, which has left snow, ice and historical minimum temperatures and has shown the vulnerability of society to climate change. Blocked streets and roads that have collapsed communications, fields of crops and animal farms razed by snow that have made it difficult to access food or have skyrocketed its price, or problems in pipes and in the electrical network that have impeded the passage of water current or energy have been some of its main consequences, both in cities (the city of Madrid has collapsed) and in rural areas. With the aim of warning of the urgency of acting in the face of the climate emergency, Greenpeace has documented, with the help of photographer Pedro Armestre, the impact that Filomena's passage has had on the daily life of Spanish society.
