There were 3 newly imported cases of asymptomatic infections imported from abroad. Foshan reported 1 case from the Democratic Republic of Congo; Qingyuan reported 2 cases, from Turkey and Niger.
All of the above were found at the port of entry or isolation point, and were quarantined for observation after entry.
2 new cases were discharged.
As of 24:00 on January 16, Guangdong Province has reported a total of 2,086 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (690 imported cases).
44 cases are currently in hospital.
