One of Adnan’s sons tells the story of his father’s suffering to “Emirates Today,” saying: “My father suffers from chronic diseases, including diabetes, blood thinning, water on the lung, and heart problems. He was undergoing treatment in Shakhbout Medical City, and before that in Previously, Mafraq Hospital, and he had a (Aounak) card that covers the costs of his treatment, but in the recent period the card has expired, and he became unable to manage the cost of his treatment and medicines, due to his modest financial capabilities.

He added: "My father's heart muscle works at a rate of 20%, and after the expiration of the (Aounak) card, he did not attend the appointments of the specialized clinics in Shakhbout Medical City, due to his inability to manage the cost of treatment and medication."

He pointed out that “the monthly cost of his medication, according to what doctors in Shakhbout Medical City has confirmed, is 1170 dirhams, equivalent to 14 thousand dirhams annually, noting that he cannot carry out his daily business due to his old age, and our source of income is very limited that barely covers life's expenses and requirements, nor We know what to do under the circumstances we are going through. ”
