Recently, a video of a woman entering the community in Jinpu New District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, refusing to cooperate with volunteer registration and calling the community secretary Lu to request release has caused heated discussions on the Internet.
Upon investigation, the woman was Wang Chenming, deputy director of the Youyi Street Office in Jinpu New Area, and Lu Xianbao, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Kangle Community, Youyi Street, Jinpu New Area.
As the incident unfolded, volunteers left their posts, and information about family members being threatened spread on the Internet.
On January 15, the volunteers in question responded that they had never left the volunteer team, and that they and their families were not threatened.
Volunteers also said that “every day on the job, their principles and bottom line will not change, and they will stick to it until the end of the epidemic”.
