An executive self-defense officer in his thirties of the Ground Self-Defense Force was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for inviting an elementary school girl who was attending an event in Tokyo to a room in a building and committing obscene acts.

The person who was arrested was Takuya Kubo (35), a third-class landlord who belongs to the Ground Self-Defense Force Education and Training Research Headquarters.



According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Rikusa Kubo called out to a fifth grade girl who was attending an event held in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo on the afternoon of the 11th of this month and invited her to a room in a building in Chuo Ward. There is a suspicion that he has performed obscene acts such as forcibly touching his body.



The Metropolitan Police Department has not disclosed the approval or disapproval.



Regarding the arrest of a senior SDF officer, the Ground Staff Office of the Ministry of Defense commented, "We will cooperate with the police investigation and will take strict measures if it is true."
