Chris Evans to return as Steve Rogers / Captain America?

Well, the actor himself is not aware!

While the rumor has been around for several days, the actor officially "retired" from adaptations of Marvel comics since

Avengers: Endgame

(in which the character gave his iconic shield to Falcon / Sam Wilson), was forced to react on Twitter.

His answer is concise, but clear.

News to me🤷🏻‍♂️

“I was not aware,” he wrote.

Marvel Studios has not reacted to the rumors, relayed in particular by Deadline, which suggests that the return of Chris Evans would be through appearances in the films of other characters, and not for a new opus of the

Captain

franchise.

America

.

And who else?

While it seems unlikely that an actor of Chris Evans' caliber would leak information before it is confirmed by Marvel or Disney, the comments in the actor's post have sparked further speculation.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who starred alongside the star in

Knives Out

in 2019, asks the actor, "Can I play your mother?"

In all your films?

".

Chris Evans took the trouble to answer this question, which, while sounding like a joke, makes it easy to imagine.

"It's in the contract," he said with humor.

For now, the only Marvel project in which the presence of Captain America could prevail would be

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

, the series which features two “sidekicks”, in other words partners, of Steve Rogers.

But the presence of Chris Evans in the program, already shot and slated for release next August, could it have remained secret for so long?
