Recently, a new type of intelligent road parking system was officially put into use in Shanghai.
On the street of Wujing Town, Minhang District, Shanghai, Mr. Zhang had just parked his car on the side of the road. The assistant greeted him and put a parking reminder card on the door handle.
After parking for 7 minutes, the indicator light under Mr. Zhang's parking space changed from green to red, and the metal ground lock was raised, blocking the body chassis.
When picking up the car, Mr. Zhang used his mobile phone to scan the QR code on the ground, and the parking time and cost information were clear at a glance.
After paying the parking fee, the ground indicator turns from red to green, the ground lock is lowered, and the electronic invoice can be obtained in real time.
In the Wujing Town Urban Transport Center, the "central brain" of this intelligent parking system is running uninterrupted.
The real-time status of the parking spaces on the road can be seen here. The system not only realizes unattended 24 hours a day, but also eliminates the hidden safety hazards, opaque payment, and arbitrary charges caused by traditional manual charging.
