A 72-year-old woman was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for deceiving more than 6 million yen in cash from an acquaintance woman by pretending to be the sister of enka singer Miyako Otsuki and offering a lie investment story.

The person arrested was Sachiko Umehara (72) in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo.



According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, from 2017 to the following year, pretending to be the sister of enka singer Miyako Otsuki, she told a woman she knew, "If you deposit funds with the singer association to which your sister belongs, you will receive a 10% dividend one year later." There is a suspicion of fraud, saying that he has deceived 6.5 million yen in cash by proposing the investment story.



After depositing the cash, the damage was discovered because he could not be contacted, and he admitted the suspicion to the investigation.



Despite having no contact with Mr. Otsuki, Umehara said that he had been lying to his sister for several years, and the victim's woman said, "I'm well dressed and I'm eating a meal. I got it, so I trusted it. "



The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating that it is suspected that it has cheated cash from several other acquaintances by the same method.
