A Burkinabe student, who arrived in Grenoble in September 2020 to continue her studies, died suddenly on December 24.

Aged in her twenties, Fatoumata Ouattara was in her second year of law, on the university campus of Saint-Martin-d'Hères (Isère).

His family, who remained nearly 4,000 km from Grenoble, cannot bear the costs to have the victim's body repatriated to his country of origin, as indicated by

Le Dauphiné Libéré

.

Affected by this disappearance, the students of the promotion of Fatoumata Ouattara have therefore launched an online kitty, in order to help the family.

This amounted to 9,000 euros on Tuesday, with more than 550 participations.

"We learned that Fatoumata died alone," says

Dauphiné Libéré

Marie Sartelet, a student in the same promotion as the young victim.

We didn't think the pot would work as much, it could have been done thanks to the group effect.

"

The money raised will soon be transferred to the family of Fatoumata, so it can therefore repatriate the body of the student.

Still open, the Leetchi kitty for Fatoumata Ouattara's family can be found here.
