YouTuber, home craftsman and musician Fynn Kliemann is the new owner of a mini-house in Bremen's historic old town.

He announced that he had bought what is “proven to be the smallest house in Germany” there on the Instagram platform.

“That's really cool,” said the 32-year-old happily.

"That is 7 square meters and 4 square meters of living space - that will be real engineering to bring in a bed at all."

The house was offered at the end of 2020 through the brokerage company Kensington for a price of 77,777 euros.

"But we never expected so much attention," said real estate agent Tobias Lachmann on Tuesday of the German press agency.

The offer even got around as far as the USA and China.

The web designer Kliemann from Lower Saxony became known on YouTube as "Heimwerkerking".

A few years ago he set up a center for creative people ("Kliemannsland") on an old farm in Elsdorf north of Bremen.

It is not yet known exactly what he wants to do with his new property in the heart of Bremen.

"I'll tell you a little more about that in my own time," he said in his Instagram video message.

The house has its very own story, was once used as a chicken coop, once was a water cistern and finally an office.

The building is located “Hinter der Balge” in the historic Schnoor district of Bremen (Low German for Schnur), where small, colorful houses line up in narrow streets.

The district is a sight and attracts many tourists.

Last year, Kliemann bought a former GDR property in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in Koldenhof in the Feldberg lake landscape.

According to Kliemann, this is a mammoth project.

There is enough to do everywhere.

That's why the bustling YouTuber (561,000 subscribers) is now putting together a team of craftsmen.

"Electricians, heating installers, carpenter, et cetera, all of that is still missing." The motto: "Good mood, try things out, build sustainably, and above all: have fun."
