Maurice Barthélémy sums up hypersensitivity in one formula.

"A hypersensitive is someone who captures a lot of information and who has a little trouble sorting," he theorizes.

"It goes through sensory information (touch, taste, hearing, sight, smell) and very strong emotions. It's as if we had all the potentiometers to the maximum. Obviously, we have a little trouble on a daily basis to find a balance. "

"As a child, I had tocs"

A simple way to explain a difference that he took years to understand.

However, his hypersensitivity manifests itself from childhood.

"I was a very anguished kid and I had tocs", remembers Maurice Barthélémy.

"Before going to bed, I had lots of rituals: I went to the bathroom, then I went to check if the door was closed, if the gas was turned off. Then I set my alarms to be sure to be awake the next day. . "

At 7, the actor had two alarm clocks, fearing that one of them would break down during the night.

It started at 18, when he lost a young cousin and visited her on her deathbed.

"There is a dissociation at that moment: there is an ego which attends the scene and another which watches the first in the process of collapsing. And that is it, hypersensitivity," he explains. -he.

"It is very easy to come across manipulators"

This defense mechanism against his own emotions is not a long-term solution, according to him.

"We create a kind of double that allows us to protect ourselves from too strong emotions. But the problem is that after a while this double becomes an enemy and we have to get rid of it."

The actor revealed with the troupe of the Robins des Bois also alerts on the issue of romantic relationships.

"When you are hypersensitive, it is very easy to come across manipulators or manipulators," he warns.
