On January 17, 1961, Patrice Lumumba, deposed Prime Minister of the Congo, was assassinated.

Arousing widespread international emotion, this death helped make the leader a mythical figure in the history of African independence. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of this disappearance, RFI offers for more than a week a series of reports and presentations. 'interviews.
