The second part of

Black Panther

will be very different from the first.

And not just because it will be shot without Chadwick Boseman, the interpreter of T'Challa, aka Black Panther, who died last summer.

According to Kevin Feige, the architect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, rather than replacing the actor or reproducing his appearance in CGI, the next installment, again written and directed by Ryan Coogler, will be centered on others. parts of Wakanda, the Never Land of which T'Challa is the monarch.

“Wakanda is, in the comic book and in the first film, a place that we can still explore, with other characters and diverse cultures.

This has always been the main point of the story.

We're not going to create a CG Chadwick, and we won't be looking for a new actor for T'Challa.

Ryan Coogler is working really hard right now on the script, with all the respect, love and genius he has and that comforts us.

He will therefore advance the mythology and inspiration of Wakanda.

There's also honoring and respecting what Chad has taught us, ”the producer explained in an interview with Deadline.

New phase

For now, after the postponement of

Black Widow

, the MCU is focusing on streaming with three series,

WandaVision

, the first franchise to launch “Phase 4” of the Marvel comic book adaptations, which will be followed by

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

, then

Loki later

this year.

If the pandemic does not once again upset all calendars, four Marvel films should be released this year,

Black Widow

, therefore, with Scarlett Johansson, next May, then

Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings

in July,

The Eternals

in November and a new

Spider-Man

in December.

As for

Black Panther

, it's not scheduled until July 2022, and filming is due to start next July, so things may still evolve between now and then.
