Before dawn on the 10th, a fire broke out in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire while confirming that two women in their 80s who lived in this house died.

After 3:00 am on the 10th, a person living in the neighborhood reported to the fire department that a fire broke out from the house of Kazuko Senoo (89) in Shinden, Kurashiki City.



Seven fire trucks were dispatched and the fire was extinguished after about an hour and a half, but Mr. Senoo's wooden one-story house was completely burned down, and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.



In addition, some of the walls and windows of the next house were burnt.



According to police, Mr. Senoo lives with his 80-year-old sister-in-law and has lost contact with them after the fire.



The police are investigating the cause of the fire while confirming that these two people died.



The site is an area where houses are lined up about 2 km southeast of JR Kurashiki Station.
