Violation of international law and basic norms of international relations, slander and smear Hong Kong's national security law, naked intervention in Hong Kong affairs and China's internal affairs, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong expressed strong condemnation and firm opposition.
The spokesman said that 53 people planned to organize the implementation of the so-called "35+" and "10 Steps for Speculation", blatantly attempting to paralyze the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, and were suspected of violating the crime of subverting state power under Article 22 of the Hong Kong National Security Law.
These people are by no means the so-called "democratic activists" whitewashed by individual Western politicians, but criminals suspected of subverting state power and seriously endangering national security.
No one has the right or freedom to endanger national security, or the right and freedom above the law.

The spokesman pointed out that individual Western politicians have linked up and ignored their own country's impervious national security legislation, but have repeatedly and viciously attacked Hong Kong's national security law, which is a typical double standard.

Facts have and will further prove that the days when domestic and foreign anti-China chaos in Hong Kong tried to do whatever they wanted in Hong Kong and endanger national security are gone!
The spokesperson emphasized that China is a country under the rule of law and Hong Kong is a society under the rule of law. We firmly support the Hong Kong SAR government in governing in accordance with the law, the police strictly enforce the law, and the promotion of "one country, two systems" under the protection of Hong Kong's national security laws and regulations.
We urge Western politicians to recognize history and reality, abide by international law and basic norms of international relations, and immediately stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs and China's internal affairs.
