In order "to curb the number of new contaminations as quickly as possible", the prefect of Cher has advanced the curfew throughout the department to 6 pm from Sunday January 10.

After the Bas-Rhin, the curfew at 6 p.m. from Sunday therefore extends to Cher and Côte-d'Or due to the acceleration of the Covid-19 epidemic in these departments, a- we learned this Saturday from the prefectures concerned.

Already in force in fifteen departments for a week, the advanced curfew could be in ten others, including Bas-Rhin.

Haute-Savoie remains on a curfew at 8 p.m.

"With an incidence rate of 243.60 per 100,000 inhabitants and a positivity rate of 10.80%, the health situation of Cher remains extremely worrying," wrote the prefecture in a press release.

Under this decree, businesses will have to close at 6 p.m. and take-out will be prohibited after that time.

However, home deliveries are still possible.

It will also be possible for a parent to pick up their child from nursery or school after an extracurricular activity, and employees or high school students ending their days after 6 p.m. will be able to return home during the curfew.

Similar arrangements have been made in Côte-d'Or, where the decree runs from January 10 to 24.

In this department, the seven-day incidence rate is 218.4 per 100,000 inhabitants within the general population, and 239.2 per 100,000 inhabitants among those over 65 years of age.

“The occupancy rate of intensive care beds in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is 87.88%, a rate well above the national average.

Hospital tension therefore remains high, ”warns the prefect in a press release.

The Bas-Rhin has also formalized the advancement of the curfew.
