A hole devouring the earth beneath an Italian hospital!
A giant crater devoured the car park of the Sea Hospital in Naples, in the Italian city of Naples, according to the British newspaper "The Guardian".
The newspaper added that the hole caused a power outage to the hospital without affecting operations and services due to the hospital's backup electricity network.
The fire brigade in the area reported that there were no injuries among the patients, but several visitor cars that were in the almost empty parking lot fell into the hole.
The local hospital administration explained that the depth of the hole, which was formed suddenly in the early morning hours, yesterday morning, reached about 20 meters, and reached an area of about 2000 square meters.
And specialists attributed that the cause of the hole may be due to the leakage of underground water, caused by heavy rainfall earlier.
News reports quoted the regional governor as saying that the temporary residence designated for recovery from Covid-19 disease will reopen within days, after electricity and water services are restored.
