  The belt hook, as the name suggests, is the hook used to tie waist or hang things in ancient my country.

  The most beautiful belt hook found in Guangzhou is undoubtedly the batch of burial objects of the Nanyue King Zhao Xuan collected in the Museum of the Nanyue King of the Western Han Dynasty.

However, other museums also had some collections in the same period. For example, the early Western Han Dynasty golden belt hook excavated in the Han tomb of Xianlie Road Huizhou Cemetery in 1956 was collected by Guangzhou Museum.

  The belt hooks of the Han Dynasty were made of gold, silver, copper, iron, jade, glass and other materials, with various shapes and exquisite craftsmanship.

Hooks can be divided into two types: curved and straight.

Generally, it consists of four parts: hook, neck, body and button.

The arc-shaped hook is combined with the loop and buckle to achieve the purpose of tightening and connecting the waistband; the straight-shaped hook is mainly used for hanging and connecting, but also for pure decoration.

Common hooks are mostly made of bronze, but also made of gold, silver, iron, jade, stone, wood, etc.

  According to the existing data, the belt hook can be divided into strips, sticks, shovel, pipa, birds and beasts according to the shape. Men's belt buckles are roughly equivalent, which also shows its practicality.
