New strike call at the hospital.

A union of practitioners calls for a social movement "unlimited from Monday" to protest against the consequences of a recent reform of Ségur health on the careers of doctors in office.

"If we create an injustice between the very young and those who have kept the public hospital until now, everyone will leave," Anne Geffroy-Wernet, president of the National Union of Practitioners, told AFP extended hospital anesthetists-resuscitators (SNPHARE) which represent all hospital practitioners.

Surgeons, cardiologists or psychologists

Acted in July, the abolition of the first three career steps is favorable to new recruits, but those who were recruited before 2020 "see themselves at a disadvantage by four years of seniority compared to their colleagues appointed this year", denounces the SNPHARE which claims to follow "one and the same seniority grid".

"This movement, according to our feedback, will be extremely followed, by hospital practitioners of all ages and all specialties," said the union Friday.

"I think that we will exceed the 70% to 80% of strikers in the blocks", explains Anne Geffroy-Wernet adding that the consultations will also be affected by this strike "of urgent and non-urgent care".

The movement concerns all hospital practitioners, from anesthesiologists to surgeons, including psychologists, pediatricians and cardiologists.

“It's not just a matter of salary, if there are not enough of us, patient care is in danger,” adds the president of SNPHARE.

An analysis shared by the emergency physicians of Amuf, as well as the practitioners of the SNMH-FO who also state that this measure will "empty the hospital of its doctors".
