The Women's Basketball League has announced that 10 Hitachi High-Tech players have been tested positive for the new coronavirus.

At Hitachi High-Tech, a player in his twenties who belongs to the company on the 5th of this month had symptoms of malaise and headache, so he visited a hospital and underwent an antigen test for the new coronavirus, which was confirmed to be positive.

According to the W League, 16 athletes belonging to the league underwent a PCR test on the 7th, and 10 positives were confirmed.

None of them have any noticeable symptoms.

The team has suspended all activities from the 5th and has isolated all players and staff for the time being, so this time, the players who were confirmed positive belonged to the W League during the period when infection is suspected. It means that I have never contacted the players or staff of other teams.

In the W League, in response to the declaration of emergency in 1 metropolitan area and 3 prefectures, the 12 games in the eastern area to which Hitachi High-Tech belongs, which was scheduled to be held from 9th to 16th this month, will be canceled. I have already decided on the 7th.
