Following the spread of the new coronavirus infection in the Keihanshin area, Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto prefectures have entered into final adjustments to request the government to issue a state of emergency.

The three prefectures have decided to hold a meeting of the countermeasures headquarters on the 8th to decide the policy with the intention of suppressing the spread of infection by taking cooperative measures.

Of these, in Osaka Prefecture, where the number of infections was confirmed to be 607, the highest number ever on the 7th and 1st, Governor Yoshimura said, "There are clear signs of the spread of the infection. It is time to take first action." He stated that he had entered into adjustments to request the government to issue a state of emergency to Osaka Prefecture.



When a state of emergency is declared, after expanding the request for shortening the business hours to restaurants that serve alcoholic beverages in Osaka city throughout the prefecture, the business hours will be provided until 8 pm Will request again from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

In addition, Governor Ido of Hyogo Prefecture said, "Given the situation where the number is increasing rapidly, we must consider requesting the state to declare an emergency."



In Hyogo Prefecture, adjustments have been made to request restaurants in Kobe City, where the spread of infection is serious, to shorten business hours without waiting for the declaration to be issued.

In addition, Governor Nishiwaki of Kyoto Prefecture said, "I think we are at the stage of considering the request for a state of emergency," and said that it is necessary to keep pace with Osaka and Hyogo.



The three prefectures want to curb the spread of infection in Keihanshin by taking collaborative measures, and on the 8th, they will hold a meeting of the countermeasures headquarters to decide the policy.
