If there were still any doubts, Jay Kay wanted to dispel them.

The British singer of Jamiroquai, who some believed to have recognized as a pro-Trump protester who invaded the Capitol, explained Thursday that he was not the man wearing a fur hat immortalized by the photographers.

“Hello everyone !,” the 51-year-old singer said in a video posted to Twitter.

Some of you might think you saw me in DC last night, but I wasn't with all these freaks.

A member of the far-right conspiracy movement QAnon

On social media, some were amused by the resemblance between Jay Kay, a lover of wacky headgear, and the disguised protester, actually a member of the far-right conspiracy movement QAnon known by the pseudonym of "Yellowstone Wolf" .

The latter entered the Capitol, his face painted and wearing an impressive headdress with horns and fur, making an impression.

“I love headgear but I'm not sure it's my type of dating,” Jay Kay wrote on Twitter.
