When we observe the Earth from space, we see that the planet is shining with all its lights, especially its northern hemisphere.

This phenomenon, which is due to the lighting of large metropolises, is actually experienced in particular by astronomers, as light pollution.

Today this is one of the research topics discussed at the International Geography Festival which was held last fall in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges.
