At Kumairi Wakamiya Shrine in Yamaga City, Kumamoto Prefecture, the "Galanzasa Festival" was held to pray for the health of pets.

This festival is held every year after the legend that when the horse on which Kiyomasa Kato, the owner of Kumamoto Castle, got sick, he was fed with the leaves of Sasa at Kumairi Wakamiya Shrine, and he became fine.

On the 6th, people with pets such as dogs, cats, and goats visited one after another from the morning and received a prayer.

Then, I was looking for a talisman made by woven the leaves of "Galanzasa", a kind of Kumazasa that grows naturally in the precincts.

A woman who visited with her pet dog, Chihuahua, said, "I wished for the health of my pet and the end of the new Corona soon."

According to Kumairi Wakamiya Shrine, there were many cases where farmers brought livestock cows and horses until around 1955, but now farmers are not cows and horses, but agricultural machinery. Some people brought in a tractor and received a harassment because they brought in a tractor.
