Study: A popular dietary supplement that strengthens the heart ... benefits such as exercising regularly

New research reveals that a popular supplement can help reduce the overall risk of death, just as much as regular exercise.

The medical news site, Medical News Today, released details of the new research recently reached by two researchers from West Virginia University in Morgantown.

The research showed that individuals who received "glucosamine / chondroitin", which is one of the most common types of glucosamine supplements, on a daily basis for at least one year, experienced a 39% decrease in the death rate in general, and a 65% decrease in the likelihood of death as a result of Incidence of cardiovascular disease.

However, Dr. Dana King, a lead co-author of the study and chair of the Department of Family Medicine at West Virginia University, does not recommend that people replace exercise with a supplement.

"This is not what we suggest ... Keep exercising, but thinking that taking a pill (of a supplement) would be beneficial is also attractive," says King.
