Sisi directs a treatment for a young Egyptian woman for obesity

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the treatment of a young woman suffering from obesity, after an appeal from her mother, as reported by the Egyptian newspaper "Youm Al-Sabea".

The Egyptian President directed the treatment of the 31-year-old woman, who suffers from obesity, as she weighs more than 200 kg, which caused her sores on the skin and a significant increase in the size of her foot, or what is known as "elephantiasis".

The young woman’s father had appealed to the Egyptian president to treat her daughter at the state’s expense, due to the family’s inability to treat the girl, who suffers from glandular problems, which caused her to develop an advanced state of obesity, which negatively affected her movement.

She was transferred by an equipped ambulance and a team of paramedics to a hospital to monitor her health condition, take the necessary medical measures and treat her at the state's expense.

The patient underwent a medical examination by consultants specializing in surgery, abdominal and vascular specialties, and underwent medical examinations to give her the necessary treatment.
