On the afternoon of the 2nd, a fire broke out in Kurihara City, Miyagi Prefecture, and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.
After the fire, I lost contact with the couple in their 80s who lived in this house, and police are proceeding with confirmation and investigating the cause of the fire.
At around 3:20 pm on the 2nd, a resident of this house reported to the fire department that a house in Wakayanagi Fukuoka, Kurihara City was on fire.
Ten fire trucks and other vehicles went out to extinguish the fire, and the fire was extinguished after about an hour and a half, but one house was completely burned down and two people were found dead in the burnt remains.
According to police, there were five people living in this house, a couple in their 80s, a son in their 60s, and a son's daughter and daughter's children, and the three sons escaped on their own and were safe. After the fire, I lost contact with my 80's couple.
Police are checking the identity of the couple, assuming that they died, and are investigating the cause of the fire.
The site is an area where houses are lined up about 3 km west of Ishikoshi Station on the JR Tohoku Main Line.
