The gendarmes prevented the installation of a new rave party this Saturday in the Aisne, announced Gérald Darmanin on his Twitter account.

This party, organized in defiance of the health rules related to the coronavirus, was to take place in the town of Pavant, specifies the Minister of the Interior, who indicates that "the material has been seized".

Thank you to the State services and to the @Gendarmerie who prevented the attempt to set up a rave-party in Pavant in the Aisne.

The equipment was seized and more than 40 verbalizations were drawn up by the police.

If he does not specify the number of people expected at this gathering, Gérald Damarnin however specifies that "more than 40 verbalizations were drawn up by the police".

This case follows a wild rave party that brought together some 2,500 people from Thursday evening to Saturday morning in Lieuron, south of Rennes.

Eight people were in police custody on Saturday evening, two of whom are suspected of being part of the organizers of this “illegal demonstration”, announced the Rennes prosecutor's office.

The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin also announced more than 1,200 verbalizations in connection with health restrictions.

400 other offenses were identified, in particular for drug issues.
