Finally, issue (51) of the month of January of the “Sharjah Cultural” magazine, issued by the Sharjah Department of Culture, was published. The editor-in-chief, Nawaf Yunus, wrote in his article entitled “The Arab Short Story Between Glow and Fading” that “The beginnings of the Arab short story do not differ much from their counterparts in the rest of the Western cultural scenes, neither technically nor intellectually in keeping pace with the changes and transformations that were surrounding In its living reality, ”explaining that“ in every Arab cultural scene, we find the founding generation in the art of the short story, which kept pace with the beginnings of global storytelling and adhered to its traditionalism, and the subsequent generations that sought to crystallize the artistic form of the short story, in which the depth of the contents and the consistency of the idea are evident.
