On the 30th, a private helicopter crashed in a forest in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture, killing one person, and an aviation accident investigator dispatched from the Japan Transport Safety Board began an on-site investigation on the 31st. ..

Around 3:30 pm on the 30th, a helicopter owned by a company in Tokyo crashed in the forest of Ojiro, Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture, killing one person on board.

According to police, it was confirmed that the person who died after that was Kotaro Demura (46) from Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture, who was the captain.

Mr. Demura took off from the heliport in Tsu City at around 3:00 pm on the 30th and was on his way to Yokohama City.

Two aviation accident investigators dispatched from the Japan Transport Safety Board following the accident entered the site on the afternoon of the 31st and began the investigation.

According to an aviation accident investigator who responded to the interview after the investigation, the aircraft was severely damaged beyond its original shape, and on the 31st, the condition of the aircraft was investigated from the outside.

In addition, since the aircraft is not equipped with a flight recorder and objective data such as speed and altitude cannot be obtained, sighting information is important for investigating flight conditions.

In the field survey that will be conducted for one day, we plan to collect sighting information.

Katsuya Okuyama, an aviation accident investigator of the Japan Transport Safety Board, said, "The aircraft has been wrecked, so we need to move it to another location to investigate."
