One week in advance, according to the town hall, vaccination will begin at the Nice University Hospital, then continue next week in retirement homes (nursing homes then independent homes), before being extended at the end of January by age group, starting with those over 65.

On the pre-registration platform set up by the municipality, 10,000 people are already registered outside the nursing home, said Christian Estrosi.

The mayor welcomed the possibility of a curfew at 6 p.m.

"Each territory having its specificity, it turns out that we are on the border with Monaco, with Italy, with an airport which has gone from 20 flights per day, to 120 flights, that is to say the level of 50% attendance in December 2019. All this has brought significant circulation of the virus, "said the elected official on France Inter.

He also welcomed the government's proposal to anticipate by two hours, at 6 p.m., the curfew in areas of the eastern half of France, including Nice, where the virus is circulating rapidly: "If you can no longer go out at 6 p.m., that allows us to control all those who might deviate from the rule ".
