China News Service, December 30th. Zhu Wenzhong, deputy director of the Passenger Transport Department of China Railway Group, pointed out on the 30th that in order to effectively respond to peak passenger flow and effectively prevent and control railway epidemics, trains reserved seats for fever passengers and found that the body temperature was ≥37.3℃. Passengers should be quarantined and observed in a timely manner, and handed over to local government prevention and control departments for investigation.

On the 30th, the State Council’s Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism held a press conference.

A reporter asked at the meeting, what measures will the railway department take during the Spring Festival to reduce the gathering of people to prevent and control the epidemic?

Zhu Wenzhong pointed out that during the Spring Festival transportation, the focus and difficulty of railway epidemic prevention and control work are mainly two aspects: First, during the Spring Festival transportation, the peak passenger flow is relatively concentrated, and the flow of labor and visiting relatives may be highly superimposed. At the same time, the density of trains is high and the frequency of stops High, strong passenger mobility.

Second, there have been sporadic outbreaks of epidemics in some regions recently, real-time changes in epidemic control measures in various regions, and uncertainty in passenger flow during the Spring Festival.

In order to effectively respond to the peak passenger flow and effectively prevent and control the railway epidemic, the railway department has adopted 5 main measures:

One is to strengthen the prevention and control of station vehicles.

Continue to do a good job in measuring the temperature of passengers at stations, strengthen the organization of passenger flow guidance, use station video, broadcast and other forms to promote prevention and control knowledge, and remind passengers to wear masks as required and maintain a safe distance.

At the same time, strengthen the management of cargo transportation and implement measures to co-defense people.

The second is to implement ventilation and disinfection measures.

The focus is to strengthen train ventilation and increase fresh air volume.

Strictly preventive disinfection of stations, especially public parts such as toilets, door handles, buttons, and air conditioning filters, to keep the environment clean.

The third is to strengthen the management of station staff.

Insist on health monitoring, wear masks and other protective equipment as required, and take personal health protection.

The fourth is to strengthen emergency response.

Isolation seats for feverish passengers are reserved on the train, and passengers with a body temperature of 37.3°C or higher are found to be isolated and observed in a timely manner and transferred to the local government's prevention and control department for investigation to effectively strengthen the epidemic prevention and control work.

Fifth, take multiple measures to prevent gathering.

Railway stations will be equipped with automatic equipment and green channels to avoid crowds of people entering and leaving the station; some stations implement time-limited trains based on actual conditions to avoid high crowds in the waiting room; optimize the Internet self-service ticket change and refund business, and reduce station window gathering.

For passengers who want to travel by train, Zhu Wenzhong issued a reminder:

One is to cooperate with the station to do a good job of temperature measurement when entering and leaving the station; for those with fever symptoms, consciously accept the investigation by the local prevention and control department.

The second is to wear a mask during the whole journey when entering the station and on the bus, coughing and sneezing should be covered.

The third is to keep a safe distance while waiting at the station to minimize crowds.

During the ride, check the number of seats to reduce the movement of the car.

The fourth is to maintain the environmental sanitation of the station cars, do not spit, do not litter, cultivate a healthy and civilized lifestyle, and improve health awareness.

Finally, passengers are requested to pay attention to the changes in the destination epidemic situation and epidemic prevention and control policies and measures, as well as the travel reminders of the transportation department, and make travel arrangements in earnest.
