A state of sadness mixed with shock, caused by the sudden death of director Hatem Ali, yesterday, in the Arab artistic community, as well as among the audience of the Syrian creator, the owner of famous works, who missed the age of 58.

As soon as the news of the death was reported, a large number of artists and drama makers mourned Hatem Ali, expressing their shock at his sudden departure in a Cairo hotel, after he had a heart attack.

The Syndicate of Syrian Artists described Hatem Ali as "one of the directors who enriched the Arab library with many television works."

Hatem Ali was born in the town of Fayq in the Golan in 1962, and after the 1967 occupation he fled with his family to Damascus.

He graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1986.

He married writer and actress Dalaa Al-Rahbi, and he has three children, Ghazal, Omar, and Ghalia.

Among the first to announce the news of Hatem Ali’s death yesterday was the Egyptian scriptwriter Abd al-Rahim Kamal, on his Facebook page, as he combined a number of successful works, including: “Hell Stone,” “As If Just Yesterday”, and “Is This What Became ».

While the Saudi artist, Nasser Al-Qasabi, said, on Twitter: “This morning, I was shocked by the news of the death of director Hatem Ali, may God have mercy on him. We had beautiful days.

"He was always repeating spontaneously and loudly, O Lord, forgive me .. Forgive him, O Lord, and forgive him as much as we are pleased with works that are still engraved in the conscience of the Arab viewer."

A large number of Syrian artists also mourned him, through social media, including: Kinda Alloush, Qusay Al-Khouli, and Slafa Mimar.

The Syrian director, Laith Hajjo - a close friend of the late director - wrote on his Facebook page: “This year has not been satisfied that it ends without squeezing our hearts and souls with grief over the separation of loved ones.”

As for the artist Ayman Zidan, who collaborated with Ali, especially in the historical series "Kings of Taifa" in 2005, he said on Facebook: “Oh, this painful departure (...) Are you not tired of death from kidnapping loved ones .. Hatem your departure is more painful than Worldly words ».

The Syrian actor Bassem Yakhour mourned the late director, saying: “The knight got off his horse early, leaving a lump in the hearts of many ... innovations that will not be forgotten.”

The Lebanese journalist and poet Zahi Wehbe wrote: "Sad news at the end of a disastrous year that you do not wish to leave without sadness. Farewell to Hatem Ali, the Syrian Arab creator who left his signature illuminating the screen and memory, raising the rank of TV drama."

Hatem Ali also mourned the artists: Nadine Nassib Najim, Amal Arafa, Elsa, and Muhammad Assaf, in addition to the Syrian artist Shukran Murtaji, who employed the names of his most famous works in the obituary: “The godfather is gone.

It is noteworthy that Hatem Ali began his artistic career with director Haitham Haqqi in the series "Circle of Fire" in 1988, and then his participation in dramas that embodied different personalities, ranging from historical and nomadic roles, to contemporary characters in multiple styles.

The late comedian with the artist Yasser Al-Azma, then went to television direction in the mid-nineties, when he presented a large number of feature-length television films, and a number of threes and sevens.
