On December 29, the "Overlord" cold wave invaded the entire Jiangsu Province from north to south.
In response to the upcoming low temperature weather, Jiangsu Changzhou General Water Division launched an emergency plan to take measures to vent pipes in 43 unoccupied communities within its jurisdiction. The total amount of water is expected to reach several thousand tons.
Changzhou General Water Department’s senior secondary water supply inspection team leader Yixin said: “In order to avoid water meter bursts in extreme cold weather, water pipe bursts and greater property losses in residents’ homes due to pipe bursts, the pipeline was emptied this time.
