Marie Fredriksson was the voice full of energy and lust for life, Per Gessle as the songwriter was the soul of the duo.

Fredriksson once fought her way back on stage with a brain tumor, and in 2019 she succumbed to her condition.

Gessle stayed behind, "surrounded by death", as he says, because it was not his only stroke of fate.
