Per Gessle von Roxette: "In a perfect world, Marie would still be here"

Roxette was one of the most successful bands in the world at the time when mostly dull techno beats dominated the charts.

Hits like "It Must Have Been Love" became the soundtrack of a generation.

Marie Fredriksson was the voice full of energy and lust for life, Per Gessle as the songwriter was the soul of the duo.

Fredriksson once fought her way back on stage with a brain tumor, and in 2019 she succumbed to her condition.

Gessle stayed behind, "surrounded by death", as he says, because it was not his only stroke of fate.

Here he explains why he still got up every morning and was able to go on living.
