It was discovered that the asbestos made of earthenware sold by major consumer electronics companies such as Yamada Denki may contain asbestos that exceeds the standard, and it was decided to collect it.

Asbestos has been confirmed in products such as Nitori, a major furniture and daily necessities company, regarding bath mats made of earthenware.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, 11 types of asbestos-made bath mats imported and sold by "Fuji Trading" in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture from July may contain asbestos that exceeds the standard.



In addition to "Yamada Denki," these products have been sold at "Goodday," which operates home improvement stores mainly in Kyushu, and "Izumi," which operates a comprehensive supermarket "Youme Town" in western Japan. So far, approximately 23,700 products have been sold. It means that the pieces were sold.



Asbestos does not scatter as long as it is used in normal usage, but it does mean that asbestos may scatter if it is scraped or cracked.



Each company will inform the target products and collection methods on their website and proceed with collection.
