The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) continues its efforts in continuous communication with the local creative community, and motivates its pioneers to continue their contributions to enriching the cultural scene in the Emirate of Dubai.

In this context, Hala Badri, Director General of the Dubai Culture Authority, toured some of the retail stores and showrooms in the creative complex in the Dubai Design District, which is considered an ideal platform for design talent in the emirate.

Badri was accompanied during her tour by Khadija Al Bastaki, Executive Director of the Dubai Design District, where she visited a number of retail units located in the neighborhood, viewed the exhibits created by local talents from Emiratis and residents, and discussed with some entrepreneurs about business conditions and prospects for its development.

Hala Badri stressed that the visit is consistent with the authority's keenness to follow the cultural scene in the Emirate of Dubai, and to be constantly informed of the conditions of creative work in it.

She added that “Dubai Culture is committed to exercising its role in supporting, encouraging, directing and organizing cultural work in the Emirate of Dubai, within a vision based on staying close to the artists and creators who form the pulse of the creative community, in a way that contributes to motivating them and encouraging them to continue giving and prosperity.”

The visit comes within this vision, as the Dubai Design District includes an elite of design entrepreneurs who contribute to strengthening the local design industry and pushing forward the creativity process that shapes the cultural movement in the emirate.

Badri added that “Dubai Culture is keen to nurture and embrace the distinguished local design talents, and to provide an environment that supports its growth and support factors to promote its business and its launch towards broader horizons that benefit everyone, thus contributing to the advancement of this vital sector to be supportive of the national economy.”
