Nara Prefecture and Nara City announced on the 27th that it was confirmed that 37 new people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
The number of people confirmed to be infected on the 1st in the prefecture was the second highest in the past, after 39 on the 3rd of this month.
With this, the total number of people confirmed to be infected in the prefecture is 1841.
Nara City also announced that a man in his 70s, who had been confirmed to be infected, had died.
A total of 22 people died after being confirmed infected in the prefecture.
