In the mid-winter season, a scene where 23 roe deer lined up in the Daxinganling forest area of Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, was recorded by netizens with mobile phones, which attracted public attention.

At 11 o'clock on the morning of December 26, 23 roe deer appeared in groups near the Yiershi toll gate of S203 Provincial Highway, Daxinganling, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, foraging on the snow.

According to local people, the group of roe deer was about 100 meters away from Provincial Highway 203. Although the vehicles on the Provincial Highway made constant noises, they did not panic. Instead, they gathered together and leisurely ate the snow-covered dry grass. When a sweeper rumbling past here, the roe deer became alert and fled into the mountains in a line.

Roe deer, also known as dwarf deer and wild sheep, belongs to the Artiodactylidae and is a herbivore. It has been included in the "Nationally Protected List of Terrestrial Wild Animals with Important Economic and Scientific Value".

Since the implementation of the National Natural Protection Project, Inner Mongolia's forestry departments have continuously increased the protection of wild animals and opened wild animal passages. Wild animals have increased significantly. However, roe deer clustering activities on such a large scale are still relatively rare in the Greater Xing'an Mountains forest area in Inner Mongolia.
