A ski resort in Shizukuishi Town, Iwate Prefecture, opened on the 26th after taking measures against the new coronavirus.

At "Shizukuishi Ski Resort" in Shizukuishi Town, Iwate Prefecture, some slopes opened from the 26th, and it was crowded with people who visited for the first time in the morning.

As a countermeasure against the infection of the new coronavirus, this year we are conducting temperature measurement using a thermal camera that can automatically measure body temperature, and the capacity of the ropeway is also reduced to less than half the normal capacity.

In addition, we are taking thorough measures such as using speakers at ski resorts to encourage people to wear masks when skiing.

A 30-year-old man who visited from Morioka City with his family said, "I will spend my time without returning to my parents' home in Aichi Prefecture. My child is also on winter vacation from today, so I came to ski because I thought it would be okay outside." ..

Koji Nagasawa, manager of Shizukuishi Ski Resort, said, "The snow that has accumulated for several days has been in good condition. The new corona is in a very difficult situation, but I would like to provide a place where everyone can enjoy it."
