The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare surveyed more than 10,000 people via the Internet in September to find out how the spread of the new coronavirus affects their mental health, and announced the results this month. did.



According to this, about half of the respondents answered that they felt some kind of anxiety during the entire period from February to September, which was the subject of the survey.



In particular, it exceeded 60% from April to May, and it can be seen that anxiety tends to increase during the period when the infection spreads rapidly.



As for what they were worried about, more than 60% of the respondents cited "infection of themselves and their families" in any month.



In addition, about 40% of the respondents answered that their amount of exercise had decreased in terms of changes in their daily lives compared to before the spread of the infection.



The mental health problem pointed out by the corona sickness has been confirmed by the national census.



The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare says that the so-called third wave of infection may still be worsening, and that efforts related to mental care will be strengthened.
