The epicenter was located 43 km south of the city of Fergana.

The focus was located at a depth of 20 km.

According to TASS, citing data from the Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in neighboring Kyrgyzstan.

There were no reports of casualties or destruction.
