[Explanation] On December 25, the police in Fangchenggang, Guangxi disclosed that the police in Fangchenggang and Chongzuo had recently jointly detected a major gun drug trafficking case at the border between China and Vietnam, and arrested 5 suspects.

  [Commentary] The police disclosed that from December 15th to 16th, the Fangchenggang police and the Chongzuo police launched a netting operation on a drug target case, seizing 20 yuan of heroin, weighing about 7 kg, seizing 6 suspected guns and detaining the case. There were 4 vehicles and 1.46 million yuan of drug-related funds were frozen.

  [Explanation] The police reported that in 2017, the Fangchenggang City Police conducted a special investigation on a man from Shangsi County who was suspected of major drug trafficking.

In mid-November 2020, the police discovered that Wei and his gang were operating at the Sino-Vietnamese border in Chongzuo, and they deployed a net retraction operation.

  [Explanation] In the early morning of December 15th, two suspects transported drugs to Shangsi territory and delivered them to the suspect Wei Mouqiang.

Wei Mouqiang was intercepted by the police while carrying drugs in the direction of Shangsi County. The police seized 20 pieces of suspected heroin from the pickup truck he was driving, weighing about 7 kilograms.

  [Explanation] At about 16:00 that day, the Chongzuo police arrested two Pingxiang suspects Zhou and Huang near Miao Town in Shangsi County.

That night, the Chongzuo police arrested two other suspects Huang and Luo from the gang in Pingxiang City.

At about 18 o'clock, when the police arrested Wei, the main criminal suspect in this case, in Shangsi County, the suspect Wei Mou shot the police continuously, and the police shot back.

  [Explanation] At 2:30 in the morning on December 16, the police launched a forceful attack on the suspect Wei, and found at the scene that the suspect Wei had shot and killed himself.
