For this reason, on the 26th and 27th, the "Northwest Self-Carrying Facility", which accepts oversized garbage, has increased the number of staff to 18 people, which is three times the normal number.
On the 26th, cars came in constantly from the start of reception at 9 am, and furniture such as sofas and home appliances such as microwave ovens were brought in one after another.
A woman in her 40s in Gifu City, who brought in oversized garbage, said, "Instead of not going out, I cleaned the house several times."
Kazunobu Yoshimura, chief of the Environmental Business Division of Gifu City, said, "Many people refrain from going out due to the influence of the new coronavirus, and the amount of oversized garbage increased especially in May, when there were consecutive holidays."
Gifu City will accept oversized garbage until the 28th at the end of this year.
