Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo is calling for measures to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus through disaster prevention radio in the voice of elementary school students so that more people will accept it.

Misaki Hiratsuka, a sixth-year student at Yochomachi Elementary School in Shinjuku Ward, cooperated with the initiative.

On this day, Mr. Hiratsuka recorded the text of the call prepared by the ward in the ward office and said, "We elementary school students also wear masks, thoroughly disinfect, and properly ventilate. Adults also act during the year-end and New Year holidays. Please be careful and cooperate with us, "he said in a calm voice.

In Shinjuku Ward, the mayor of the ward used to broadcast a call for measures against corona, but he asked elementary school students to accept it.

Mr. Hiratsuka said, "I was nervous, but I was happy to play a major role. I want you to listen to the broadcast and spend your time safely at home."

The recorded calls will be broadcast three times a day at noon, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm until the 7th of next month through the 102 disaster prevention administrative radios in the ward.
